For the past decade, we’ve made it our business to rewrite the rules of how electronics products are made. Ten years later, we have redefined what great tech should be: Products that are built to last, and that care for people and the planet.

The electronics industry still has a long way to go. That’s why we focus our impact work on where change for the better is needed most—across the entire life-cycle of our products. We call this Fair Circularity.

It’s the fair thing to do, for you and the planet—the longer you keep your phone, the smaller its environmental footprint.

That’s why we wholeheartedly support the reuse, refurbishment, and repair of our phones. For every product we sell, we also take one back for recycling, reducing electronic waste worldwide.

Addressing climate change

Addressing climate change is urgent. For us, this means we need to go beyond being CO2 neutral – we need to avoid CO2 emissions in the first place, and reduce emissions where they are unavoidable. We have set ambitious targets to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2045, five years ahead of the Paris Agreement.

At Fairphone, impact drives innovation

Our latest and greatest, the Fairphone 5 continues our tradition of five-year warranties, while breaking industry records with a minimum of eight years of support guaranteed. It boasts an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance, and a perfect 10 on iFixit's repairability tests. It can also easily survive a six-feet drop, making it our most durable phone yet. Inside, there are ten swappable parts, with over 36% of the device made from recycled and other fair materials. And like all other Fairphone devices, it's electronic waste neutral.

Designed for you. Made fair.

The Fairphone 4 was our first phone to offer a five-year warranty and five years of support. It got a perfect score with iFixit for repairability, thanks to its modular design that allows you to easily replace up to eight parts. It has an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, and has been drop tested up to 4 feet. The phone has been made from 28% recycled materials, and is electronic waste neutral as well.

Our first foray into over-the-ear headphones sport Fairphone's signature modular design with nine replaceable parts. Made from 66% recycled materials, the Fairbuds XL has an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, and are 100% electronic waste neutral.

Our take on in-ear headphones features eight replaceable parts, an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, and are 100% electronic waste neutral. Made from 49% recycled materials, they also scored a perfect 10 when it comes to repairability, according to iFixit. Are these the most repairable earbuds in the world? We think so.
